Chapter 6 and 11

Chapter 6
1. I think I would rather teach in a classroom with digital technology as opposed to one without. It's obvious that computers, scanners and other technologies make learning easier. I would appreciate and value the technologies and use them to the students benefits. I couldn't imagine a classroom in school that didn't have these technologies. There are so many outlets that teachers can use that wouldn't be possible without technology. Thanks to the extensive training future teachers now have i will be prepared to utilize these technologies and hope to enhance my classroom with them.

Chapter 11
2. The traditional and emerging audio technologies I would choose would be the record player and the cd player. The traditional and emerging visual technologies I would use would be books and the computer display. In my classroom I would use all four extensively. I would use the record player to teach lessons that were available when record players were used. There are education outlets that are the same now as they were in the 70's when records were popular. I would also, similarly use the cd players. Many books and lessons have been put onto cd's for the use of a modern tech savvy classroom. The traditional visual technology I would use would be books. It doesn't get any better than the traditional way of teaching from a text book where students can see examples, pictures and text explanations of the lessons. The only thing i could think to be a better way of teaching would be a computer display. The emerging technology I would use in my classroom would be computers. To be able to have unlimited information at the fingertips of my students would be a rewarding feeling and I would utilize all that computers had to offer.
